AlphaTwelve ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Anybody mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT 1.1. Information You Provide to Us a. Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and profile photo. b. Profile Information: You may optionally provide a bio or other profile details. c. Posts and Messages: We collect the content of posts you create, responses you make, and messages you send through the Service. d. Images: We collect photos you upload as part of your profile, posts, or chat messages. e. Contact Form Submissions: If you contact us through the app, we collect the category, message content, and your account details. 1.2. Information Collected Automatically a. Location Data: We collect your device's GPS coordinates when you use the Service. This is essential for the core functionality of the Service, which shows you posts from people physically nearby. We collect location data only while you are actively using the Service or when the Service is running in the background with your permission. b. Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information. c. Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Service, including the features you access, the time and duration of your use, and your interactions with other users. d. Log Data: Our servers automatically record information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps. 1.3. Information from Third Parties a. We may receive information about you from third-party services you use to sign in or interact with our Service. 2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION 2.1. We use the information we collect for the following purposes: a. To provide, maintain, and improve the Service. b. To show you posts from users who are physically nearby and to show your posts to nearby users. c. To facilitate matching and communication between users. d. To send you notifications about activity related to your account, such as new responses to your posts, match confirmations, and new nearby posts. e. To verify your identity and prevent fraud, abuse, and other harmful activities. f. To moderate content and enforce our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. g. To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support. h. To analyze usage patterns and improve the user experience. i. To send you important updates about the Service, including changes to our Terms or Privacy Policy. j. To comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights. 3. CONTENT MODERATION 3.1. We use automated systems powered by artificial intelligence to moderate content posted through the Service. This includes: a. Text Moderation: Post text is analyzed for harmful, inappropriate, or offensive content before being published. Posts that are flagged may be rejected. b. Image Analysis: Profile photos are analyzed to verify they contain a real human face. Posts with images may be analyzed for inappropriate content. 3.2. Automated moderation systems are not perfect. We may also use human review in certain cases. 3.3. Content moderation data is processed in real-time and is not stored separately from the content itself. 4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION 4.1. With Other Users a. Your profile information (name, photo, bio) is visible to other users of the Service. b. Your posts are visible to users who are physically within the configured radius of your post location. c. When you are matched with another user, your profile information is shared with that user, and you can communicate through in-app messaging. 4.2. With Service Providers We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, including: a. Cloud hosting and infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) b. Email delivery services c. Push notification services (Firebase Cloud Messaging) d. Content delivery and image storage (Cloudflare) e. AI content moderation services (Amazon Web Services) These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 4.3. For Legal Reasons We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: a. Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or legal process. b. Protect and defend the rights or property of the Company. c. Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service. d. Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public. e. Protect against legal liability. 4.4. Business Transfers If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information. 4.5. We Do NOT a. Sell your personal information to third parties. b. Share your precise location with other users. Other users see only the approximate distance between you and them (e.g., "0.3 mi away"). c. Share your email address with other users. d. Use your data for third-party advertising purposes. 5. DATA RETENTION 5.1. Account Data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data is anonymized immediately. 5.2. Posts: Posts automatically expire after 60 minutes (or the configured expiration time). Expired post content is retained in our database for operational purposes but is no longer visible to users. 5.3. Messages: Chat messages are retained for as long as the associated match exists. If a match is cancelled, messages may be retained for a reasonable period for safety and moderation purposes. 5.4. Location Data: We do not store a history of your location. Location data associated with posts is retained only for the duration of the post. WebSocket connection location data is deleted when you disconnect. 5.5. Logs and Analytics: Server logs and usage analytics may be retained for up to 12 months for operational and security purposes. 6. DATA SECURITY 6.1. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include: a. Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL. b. Encryption of sensitive data at rest. c. Hashing of authentication codes (OTP) before storage. d. Access controls and authentication for our systems and databases. e. Regular security assessments and monitoring. f. Database hosted in private network subnets not accessible from the public internet. 6.2. Despite our efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. 7. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES 7.1. Access and Portability: You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you. You may request a copy of your data by contacting us. 7.2. Correction: You can update your profile information (name, photo, bio) at any time through the app. 7.3. Deletion: You can delete your account and personal data at any time using the "Delete Account" option in the app's Settings screen. Deletion is processed immediately. However, the Service requires location access to function, and revoking permissions will prevent you from using the Service. 7.5. Push Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. 7.6. Blocking and Reporting: You can block or report other users at any time through the app. Blocked users cannot see your posts or contact you. 8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY 8.1. The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. 8.2. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as possible. 8.3. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately. 9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS 9.1. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. 9.2. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate. 9.3. We take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information remains protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy. 10. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA) 10.1.
