Community Guidelines

Welcome to Anybody. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure that everyone has a safe, respectful, and positive experience. By using Anybody, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban. 1. BE RESPECTFUL 1.1. Treat every person with dignity and respect. Anybody connects you with real people in your neighborhood. Remember that there is a real person behind every post and message. 1.2. Do not use hateful, discriminatory, or derogatory language based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic. 1.3. Do not bully, harass, intimidate, or threaten other users. This includes repeated unwanted contact, following, or any behavior intended to cause fear or distress. 1.4. Disagreements happen. Handle them maturely. If a situation becomes uncomfortable, use the block and report features. 2. BE HONEST 2.1. Use a real, recent photo of yourself as your profile photo. Do not use photos of other people, celebrities, cartoons, illustrations, or misleading images. 2.2. Use your real name or a name you commonly go by. Do not impersonate other people or create fake identities. 2.3. Be truthful in your posts. Do not post misleading requests or misrepresent what you need. 2.4. Do not use a false or spoofed GPS location. The Service is designed for people who are physically nearby. Faking your location undermines the trust and safety of the community. 3. BE SAFE 3.1. When meeting someone from Anybody in person: a. Always meet in a public, well-lit place. b. Tell a friend or family member where you are going and who you are meeting. c. Keep your phone charged and accessible. d. Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave immediately. e. Do not share your home address, financial information, or other sensitive personal details with people you have just met. 3.2. If you feel unsafe at any time, contact local emergency services immediately. 3.3. Report any user who makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or threatened. We take all reports seriously. 4. PROHIBITED CONTENT 4.1. The following types of content are strictly prohibited on Anybody: a. Illegal Activity: Content that promotes, facilitates, or depicts illegal activities, including but not limited to drug dealing, theft, fraud, or violence. b. Violence and Threats: Content that threatens, promotes, or glorifies violence against any person or group. c. Sexual Content: Sexually explicit or suggestive content, including nudity, pornography, or sexual solicitation. d. Exploitation: Content that exploits or endangers minors in any way. This includes any sexual content involving minors, which will be reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. e. Harassment: Content intended to harass, bully, or intimidate a specific individual or group. f. Hate Speech: Content that attacks or demeans a group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics. g. Self-Harm: Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. h. Dangerous Activities: Content that promotes dangerous or harmful activities that could result in physical injury. i. Spam: Repetitive, unsolicited, or irrelevant content posted for commercial or disruptive purposes. j. Scams and Fraud: Content designed to deceive or defraud other users, including phishing, pyramid schemes, or fake offers. k. Intellectual Property Violations: Content that infringes on the copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of others. l. Personal Information: Posting another person's private information (address, phone number, financial information) without their consent. m. Weapons: Content promoting the sale or distribution of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or other weapons. n. Regulated Goods: Content promoting the sale of alcohol, tobacco, prescription drugs, or other regulated substances outside of legal channels. 5. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES 5.1. The following activities are strictly prohibited: a. Using Anybody for commercial advertising or solicitation without prior authorization. b. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans or restrictions. c. Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Service. d. Attempting to manipulate the Service, including artificially inflating response counts or creating fake matches. e. Collecting or harvesting information about other users without their consent. f. Interfering with the proper functioning of the Service. g. Using the Service to facilitate any form of human trafficking, prostitution, or escort services. 6. POSTING GUIDELINES 6.1. All posts must begin with "Anybody" as required by the app. 6.2. Posts should be genuine requests or offers that you intend to follow through on. 6.3. Posts automatically expire after 60 minutes. Do not repeatedly post the same request to circumvent this limit. 6.4. You may have a maximum of 3 open posts at any time. 6.5. Choose an appropriate category for your post. Miscategorized posts may be less effective and may be flagged. 6.6. If your post includes a price, be transparent about what the price covers and any conditions. 7. MESSAGING GUIDELINES 7.1. Messages should be relevant to the post or match they are associated with. 7.2. Do not send unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or chain messages. 7.3. Do not send threatening, harassing, or sexually explicit messages. 7.4. Do not pressure other users to share personal information, meet in private locations, or engage in activities they are uncomfortable with. 8. REPORTING AND ENFORCEMENT 8.1. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it immediately using the report feature in the app. 8.2. We review all reports and take appropriate action, which may include: a. Warning the user. b. Removing the offending content. c. Temporarily suspending the user's account. d. Permanently banning the user from the Service. e. Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement. 8.3. We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce these guidelines. 8.4. Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion. We may take action on content or behavior not explicitly covered by these guidelines if we determine it is harmful to the community. 8.5. If you believe your content was removed or your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by contacting us at hello@anybody.app. 9. YOUR ROLE IN THE COMMUNITY 9.1. Anybody works best when everyone contributes to a positive community. Here is how you can help: a. Report violations when you see them. b. Be kind and patient with other users. c. Follow through on your commitments. If you say "I'm in," show up. d. Leave honest feedback and communicate openly. e. Welcome new users and help them understand how the community works. 9.2. Remember that Anybody is a tool for connecting with real people nearby. The quality of the community depends on the behavior of its members. 10. CHANGES TO THESE GUIDELINES 10.1. We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to address new issues or reflect changes in the Service. 10.2. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. 10.3. Your continued use of the Service after changes to these guidelines constitutes your acceptance of the updated guidelines. 11.
